The opportunity arose for him to become chairperson and he has been in this role for almost 30 years. Eddie is the mainstay of Ashford & Tenterden Umbrella, and all of our service users know him. In his spare time, Eddie is a keen golfer and likes to get out on the fairway.

Testimonials
"I first started going to Umbrella about six months ago. I feel it's been so helpful to me, having people to chat to, go out on day trips with, and just being able to pop in for some company. And everybody's welcome."
"I've struggled with anxiety for years. My care worker told me about A&T Umbrella, and I decided to give it a try. I immediately felt comfortable and welcomed. Participating in activities there has helped reduce my anxiety. I can also socialize with others facing similar challenges, which has boosted my confidence. Thanks to A&T Umbrella, I now feel ready to pursue part-time work. It's become a safe and secure place for me."
"I moved into a senior living complex last year. As a regular member of Umbrella, I use their collect and deliver service with other ladies from the complex. We've become best friends and enjoy a warm, discrimination-free environment. We have fun with quizzes, cards, and bingo, and plan trips together. Umbrella has become an essential part of our lives, providing weekly visits and a sense of community for us all."
